earth and heaven's height
Shape dim clouds myriad drop
How many are there to one glass of self
One cup?
Heart's
tears remember
The fall from high grace,
Time unfolding from misty height
To earth's dark vales.
Windblown drops on thirsting earth
Chattering on roof of lake,
Held in leafy larders,
The old exposed
In open place peer up,
Forgettful of heaven home.
Hot breath heavenwards rise
while burnt out husk remain
After long track through stream and sea
Shining haze ascends again
Seeing
on my sweatpearl skin
Holy moisture drop
Precipitate.
Sinking Heart

As life reels about me.
I endure alone
On rigid hurdle
Of age and knocks
With window-sill edge regret
Before my fall into time's oblivion
